The previous Monday I was tagged by the amazing Teresa of Daisies for Voilet . She tagged me on doing this blog hop which is an absolutely splendid  idea to meet new people. This works in a pretty simple way. A kind of chain letter if I can call it that.Once you’re tagged by someone, you need to answer a few questions and then go on to tag three other people who have to answer the questions and the cycle continues.

If you’re interested in what Teresa has to say, you can read all about it in this wonderful post. So without further ado, let me get on to answering my set of questions.

1.What have you been working on?

Quite a few things actually. If you’ve read my recent blog posts, I started this watercolor illustration of one of my favorite flowers, a yellow rose. I still haven’t gone back to completing it but I’m hoping to finish it soon. I’m quite the juggler you see. I start a lot of projects at the same time and then go back and forth to complete it. It does keep me from being bored though.

I’ve also started working on this graphite drawing of my baby’s first shoes as a keepsake for his nursery. I love his tiny little feet and the first thing I bought for him were these lovely shoes. I heart it!

Another drawing is that of this beautiful purple bird on some fawn stonehenge paper. This is my first time drawing a wee birdie and I’m nervous as hell but I always love a challenge.

2.How does your work differ from others of its genre?

I’m yet to figure that out actually. I don’t follow a specific style. I work with different mediums and techniques. I don’t really follow too many rules. I just do what I think I need to. So I don’t really consider my work different or unique. The only thing I do try is to is give my 100% at whatever it is.

3.Why do you write/create what you do?

I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. I lost the urge to do so in between while I attended university. When I picked my pencils again, I just realized how much I missed. Ever since, I took the decision that no matter how busy I get, I’ll always find time to draw. So the reason why I create is because it gives me happiness. It makes me feel like a little child that loves playing with colors and shapes.

4.How does your writing/creative process work?

I work in different ways. Sometimes when I come across a beautiful photograph, I want to put it down on paper in a way that it does not lose the essence of the original image. Sometimes, I just like to draw the things I love by envisioning it in my head. I first daw on regular printer paper, mark down the color scheme and the placing and composition, tinker the drawing till it looks perfect to me. Then I draw it over on some good quality drawing/painting paper and start working on it.  All I need is some coffee and I can sit for hours creating, drawing and painting unless of course the little one decides to crash the party 😀

There are three other beautiful bloggers I would love you to meet

Aki of Minted Strawberry

I met Aki through a wonderful group on Facebook called Bloggers on Blogspot (BoB) and boy this girl is so multi talented. She does amazing jewelry, brilliant DIY and she has a degree in interior design. Totally rad right? You should go over to her blog and show her some love and I can bet that you will not regret it!

Bonnie of Archer & Olive

It’s not so often that I find a blog with similar interests to mine and I’m so glad to have bumped into Bonnie. I got to know her works through Brynne of The Gathered Home and I’m delighted to say that her watercolor illustrations are as fab as they are unique. She does beautiful and tasteful illustrations with watercolors. I love her work and please do pay a visit to her lovely blog to see lots and lots of beauty.

Julia of It’s Always Ruetten

While doing my bit of linking up in many of link parties that happen, I have always somehow managed to stumble into Julia’s blog. She does absolutely beautiful greeting cards with so much love that makes you want to just go and buy them all. She has some great crafty goodness over at her lovely blog and she just had a makeover done on it and it’s to die for. Hop over to see some awesomeness!

I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I loved writing it. Thanks for all your support lovely friends. Until next time, cheers!
