As easy as it is to buy gift tags from the local mall, you may want to download today’s free printable because you can make it personal. Want to know how? Because you can color them in. You’ll have creative freedom and each gift tag will look unique. I’ve created four different printable Christmas gift tags that you can download and print. You don’t need a fancy printer. I printed out these on A4 sheets and you’ll get 8 gift tags. You may cut the tags out first and paint. I painted them first and cut them out later. I also took the freedom to decorate the background. You can leave it as it is or fill it in.
Then I punched a hole on top and tied a ribbon through it. Tie it to your lovely gift. And that’s it!

So nice!Thank you very much!!!
Thank-you for the sweet tags. I have a question about your printer. I am looking for a printer that will handle heavier card stock Hopefully at least 100#. Do you know if the printer you recommend will do that? I have spent hours researching printers and have found very little to guide in in what to choose other than one that loads paper from the back as it feeds paper easier. Any advice would be appreciated. BTW- I have made several sets of note cards using your tutorials of the trees as a guide and inspiration. I don’t have the talent to be a true artist, but I truly do love to create and your blog is something I always look forward to receiving.
Hi Sharon.First off, thank you so much for the lovely words and for trying out my tutorials.I think there’s an artist in everyone and the very fact that you love to challenge yourself and explore new things is amazing. I’m so glad you look forward to my posts. That’s just made my day.
About printers-The printer I use is a normal 3050A photo printer, scanner and copier(inkjet) from HP. It’s inexpensive but does the job.I have printed upto 225gsm (80# cover).I’m not sure if it can take 100#,I’ll do a test and let you know. The Epson R2000 is a printer that I’m looking to buy soon.It can take thick cardstock and a recommended printer by photographers and fine artists. It’s much more expensive(close to $1000).It’s wide format too.
I hope that helps!
Thank-you for your reply. I have been looking at wide format printers too, but I can’t really justify the cost. I did find one for about $400, an Epson Artisan wide format. I don’t make any $ from my crafting, I just spend lol, hence the need to keep costs down. Will definitely want to know if your printer can handle the 100#.
These are adorable! I love that this gives you the option of coloring them yourself or leaving it up to the recipient. Cute.
Thank you so much Jenn! Honestly speaking, the idea of the recipient coloring never crossed my mind. That’s so clever of you!
